FASE will organise a workshop at 24th Congress of the International Academy of Legal Medicine (IALM) in Fukuoka, Japan 5-8 June 2018
Workshop titled “Some key questions in Forensic anthropology” by Eugénia Cunha & Douglas Ubelaker will be held in two sessions. The morning session “Identification issues in forensic anthropology” will present the most updated methodologies used to estimate sex, age and ancestry, and practical cases will be presented.
The afternoon session “TRAUMATIC INJURIES: why we have to know the language of bone fractures.” will illustrate the key role of forensic anthropologists in the analysis of fractures for the cause and manner of death but also to document human rights violation.
